Casa Colonial

We are a B&B, in that a full breakfast with American and Mexican fare is included in the room price.  Order eggs any way you'd like, enjoy freshly squeezed orange juice, an array of tropical fruits, toast, oatmeal, granola, yoghurt, good Oaxacan coffee...served in our beautiful dining room, with its views of both our front and back gardens, between 8 and 10 am. 

Our chef of 30 years, Teresa Garcia, also prepares a delicious comida, the main meal of the day served at 2 pm, and a lighter cena, served at 8 pm.  You can order your family-style comida or cena or both on any day; just tell us in the morning.  We also have an economical  three-meal plan. If you'd like cena on the house the evening you arrive, tell our reservation agent when you book your stay with us.

Our chef, Teresa Garcia, specializes in Oaxaca home-style cooking, in all of its savory (but not spicy) variety, including Oaxaca's famous moles.  Do you have a favorite Oaxacan dish?  Just ask Teresa!

Oaxaca has many good restaurants, and we're happy to make suggestions.

But a constant refrain among our guests is that Teresa's fare is unsurpassed! We are happy to accomodate vegetarians or other special diets.

Eating at the Casa also prevents getting turista; everything is the highest quality, clean, fresh, and prepared with purified water.  We serve hydroponic greens.
