Jane and Thorny Robison

Jane and Thorny Robison purchased Casa Colonial 16 years ago. In May 2008, while returning to Oaxaca from a visit to the U.S., Thorny was killed in an automobile accident. One of our goals when we started was to continue to provide jobs for the wonderful staff that we inherited.  Many had worked at the Casa for more than 10 years then, and are still with us.

In 2006, thousands of tourism-related jobs were lost in Oaxaca.  We are very proud that we have been able to keep all of our workers.  The Casa wouldn't be the Casa without them!
